Sotiris Karamesinis talks to Vassilis Karagiannis Warply's PR and Communication Manager and Instant, about the connection between technology and theater and how technology helped theater to evolve.
Sotiris Karamesinis is theater director and internationally known for developing his own acting method, MU.S.A (musical system of acting), a unique system that introduces music as a fundamental element and integral part of the contemporary actor's education, preparation and role composition.
Sotiris Karamesinis started his journey taking as starting point Korea, -where hi-tech is connected with theater and has intensive mythical references- and took us to the past, where technology was used in the ancient Greece where theater
started to evolve.
But his journey is not ending here. From 2008 to 2017 he lived and worked mostly in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he made a pioneering step to direct the Greek tragedy Bacchae by Euripides, with the award-winning troupe of the film “City of God” theater group "Nós Do Morro".
