Walmart implements a new AR feature to its mobile app

Walmart added an Augmented Reality (AR) feature to its mobile app. Shoppers can enjoy an out of common feature by scanning price tags with their smartphone’s camera in order to compare prices and customer ratings.

"Discount chain has a big vision for the future of scanning with AR",  Tim Sears, senior engineering manager at Walmart Labs said. 

Actually, the new AR scanning feature combines the online shop with brick and mortar and make the in-store experience even more interesting for the customers. After Amazon who added an AR View feature to its iOS app, Walmart is one of the biggest retailers who implement AR experiences within their app as well.
